The Performance Room: Our £50,000 Home Cinema Specification

Elite Spatial Engineering and Studio-Grade Immersion

Step up to a fully realised, structurally engineered private theatre that bridges the gap between premium media spaces and ultra-high-end dedicated cinema rooms. At Art of Cinema (the custom integration division of Arthur Acoustics), we invite homeowners, interior architects, and luxury property developers to explore The Performance Room—our meticulously calibrated mid-tier demonstration environment located at our Henlow Showroom.

Representing a comprehensive turnkey construction, acoustic engineering, and hardware investment of £50,000, this specification is designed for clients who refuse to compromise. It proves that with the correct technical room treatment and a perfectly matched component framework, you can achieve breathtaking cinematic scale that completely eliminates the acoustic anomalies of standard residential architecture.

Technical Specifications of The Performance Room

Every square inch of this environment has been mapped and balanced by our CEDIA and Institute of Acoustics (IOA) trained team to guarantee absolute audio-visual cohesion.

MK Sound Loudspeakers & The 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos Array

The audio foundation of The Performance Room relies on a legendary industry name: MK Sound. Celebrated globally as the definitive choice for professional Hollywood mixing studios, MK Sound monitors are renowned for their lightning-fast transient response and absolute tonal accuracy. We have deployed these architectural monitors in a fully discrete 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos surround configuration.

Featuring seven ear-level layer speakers, four overhead spatial channels, and a dual-subwoofer layout, the system creates a seamless three-dimensional bubble of sound. The dual active subwoofers are strategically positioned to deliver tight, visceral low-frequency impact, perfectly distributing bass across the seating area while eliminating muddy acoustic dead zones.

Powered by the Anthem MRX 1140 Processing Core

Driving this high-output speaker array is the flagship Anthem MRX 1140 Audio-Visual Receiver (AVR). Renowned among audiophiles for its heavy-duty amplification and clean channel separation, the Anthem features advanced Anthem Room Correction (ARC™) technology. Our engineers spend hours custom-tuning this processing core, mapping frequencies and managing crossovers to perfectly counteract your room's physical layout, ensuring razor-sharp vocal clarity and pristine instrument separation.

Site-Built Acoustic Fabric Walling & Structural Treatment

A world-class theatre is only as good as the room structure itself. The Performance Room features our signature site-built stretched fabric tracking panels. Hidden entirely behind a flawless, luxury designer fabric facade lies a complex network of core acoustic absorption and diffusion materials boasting an NRC rating of 0.90+. This architectural tracking completely conceals your multi-channel speaker arrays while controlling harsh room reflections, treating slap-echoes, and optimizing low-frequency decay times.

Native 4K Visuals & Single-Remote Smart Automation

Visuals inside this package feature high-brightness native 4K laser projection flashing onto a high-gain, acoustically transparent fixed-frame screen layout. The entire technological ecosystem connects natively with Lutron lighting systems and Control4 automation. With a single button tap on our handheld remote or flush wall keypad, the room shifts flawlessly into feature-film mode: the architectural LED halo lights dim to a warm glow, the projector ignites, and the Anthem processor balances your audio source automatically.

Book Your Private Technical Demo at Our Henlow Showroom

You cannot accurately evaluate the visceral energy of an MK Sound array or the precision of an Anthem AVR through a specification sheet—it must be physically heard and experienced.

We invite you to book an exclusive, completely private technical consultation and system demonstration inside The Performance Room. Bring your favourite films or high-resolution audio tracks, sit back in our luxury loungers, and experience home entertainment exactly as the director intended.
